I have a very sensitive stomach and have come to find that the acidity in coffee gives me strong stomach aches. A friend recommended this brand to me (and they’re a coffee snob, and don’t need to have low acidity coffee but just like this kind) and I’ve had it in my pantry ever since. I have it every day. I also really enjoy Costa Rican coffee, which is naturally lower in acidity, but still find it too strong to have every day. I love this coffee. So worth it!

I got the house blend. There’s nothing ‘wrong’ with it, it was actually very fresh. However, the flavor is not for me. I’d say this medium roast is absolutely on the lighter side of medium, and it left me feeling like the flavors were underdeveloped.I made it using an Aeropress and a pour over and both times I expected more from the flavor. It’s bright, but not acidic. But it also lacks any body or depth. Would be willing to try another of their varieties, but the house blend was disappointing.UPDATE: I decided to revisit this using a slightly finer grind and hotter water, as I’m usually more on the darker roast side. This revealed the body that I felt was missing. It’s still a brighter tasting coffee than I’d normally opt for, but I’m happy to drink this made with an Aeropress and water around 205-210F

Bought this for my husband to see if it would impact his acid reflux. It did help but he said acid obviously gives coffee it’s zing because this was more on the bland side. Still it worked to reduce his acid reflux symptoms

This review is for Volcanica’s Low Acid whole bean coffeeFirst, let me say that this Amazon format of dumping the reviews for all of Volcanica’s coffees on the same page is confusing as you don’t know which particular Volcanica coffee the review is addressing unless the reviewer has left a clue, as I have here.This coffee looks good on paper as it starts out with low acid varieties of coffee and then they’re roasted longer to reduce the chlorogenic acid (CGA). Unfortunately it still bothered my stomach somewhat. Not badly but I could still feel it. Plus, I’ve had “white coffee” where the beans are very lightly roasted and has high level of CGA and it never bothered my stomach. Therefore I don’t believe CGA is the culprit in gastric distress. In fact CGA is gastro-protective.As for the flavor it is a pretty good coffee but the price is a little on the high side.I do want to give Volcanica credit for being responsive and replacing another of their coffees with this one when I informed them the other one had caused stomach issues. I am keeping this coffee as my mom seems to like it.

100% JBM is out of my reach right now.This has a little of that flavor and makes a good cup. Not far from ATL, but Prime has quicker shipping.It was roasted less than a week ago, that’s really important. With these $ beans I’m using my old Eva Solo immersion, getting a good bloom, doing it right!This coffee brings out a smile quickly!

Not worth the priceYou are charged important fees, then the courier they choose also has handling fees. By the time you get the product it is more than double the cost listed on Amazon.
