So being out of coffee I was trying to figure out what to buy next.I’m an organic consumer.How in the world do you decide? All the brands make my head spin.So I looked up where coffee originated.Seems God planted it in Ethiopia.Now what brand….Volcanica claims some Ethiopian beans are harvested from wild plants, some from heirloom plants.That sold me.I couldn’t wait for my coffee to arrive.While I’m not a coffee expert, I do know a good cup from instant or gas station coffee. Yuck.The smell was so good when I opened the package, I couldn’t wait to grind it.I certainly needed to relax with a beautiful blissful cup of coffee.Lean back and imagine workers picking the beans, washing and drying themfor our benifit and enjoyment made this cup all the more special.Bless everyone who worked to bring this special coffee to my doorstep. I appreciate all of you.

I was expecting a robust coffee but was very disappointed. No matter how much coffee, how hot the water, or how fine the grind, this particular Ethiopian Sidamo left me wanting. It tastes OK but watered down. A purchase not to be repeated.

Coffee was ok, but wasn’t particularly bright and I wasn’t able to pick up any of the fruit in the flavor profile as described. I used the pour over method and tried multiple variations of adjusting grind size and water temp to improve the flavor profile. Larger grind size and shorter brew time made the coffee more tolerable, but wouldn’t buy it again.
